Delegate Statement

We aim to make Uniswap the forefront DEX across a multitude of chains, while creating value for all involved stakeholders, from token holders & delegates to LPs and users.

What do you want to see happen in Uniswap governance over the next year?

Our organization views Uniswap like any other business but under the command of a DAO. Hence, our overall goals for the protocol orient around attaining as much value for protocol stakeholders, which expands beyond value accrual for token holders.

A predominant aspect of expanding any business is capturing untapped market share. This is one of the reasons why we’ve been such large proponents of multi-chain expansion, which is akin to evolving a domestic corporation into a multinational enterprise. Starting with all the prominent EVM-compatible chains, we aim to deploy v3 on each of those platforms. We are also very interested in seeing v3 expand into ecosystems like Starknet, which involve an extra layer of complexity such as transpiling existing v3 contracts with subsequent audits. We plan on partaking in this process, being involved in more technically-oriented discussions around cross-chain expansion.

Beyond deployments, we plan on partaking in discussions around value accrual for the protocol. We see two means by which this can be addressed: diligent treasury management and enactment of the fee switch. The current treasury consists 99.9% of $UNI tokens at a total market value of ~$2.2B. The true value is a lot less due to illiquidity. We hope to work with the community to better allocate and diversify the treasury. One way to do so is by turning on the fee switch and increasing the treasury’s USDC positions as a hedge against market volatility from $UNI. Eventually, we hope the value accrual does percolate to token holders and delegates.

Reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

We believe that Uniswap is at the cutting edge of DAO innovation. The protocol’s decisions will set a precedent for how governance will operate for future protocols. We plan on–as we have been for two years–continuing our contribution to the future success of the protocol.

Skills and areas of expertise:

Our team actively partakes in governance for five protocols: Uniswap, Aave, Compound, Arbitrum, and OUSD. We have been participating in creating proposals, voting on proposals, and creating content around governance for the past two years. The team consists of a diverse array of students, pursuing various degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Phd) in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, and even Public Health. Hence, we bring a diverse set of skills and perspectives to the table.

Past contributions to Uniswap:

Launched v3 on Avalanche (wrote proposal & administered gov process)

Launched v3 on Celo (wrote proposal & administered gov process)

Launched v3 on Moonbeam (wrote proposal & administered gov process) – this is currently undergoing an onchain vote

Currently writing proposals for deploying on Base and the FVM (out by June)

Active forum participation for various topics, including fee switch and post BSL expiration gov process

Content creation regarding important gov topics to educate the broader community

What are your views on 3 past Uniswap governance proposals?

38 (we voted FOR): Create v3deployments.uniswap.eth subdomain and populate its text fields

  • It was vital for there to be an onchain, verifiable place for canonical v3 deployment contracts to be officially recognized. This creates an organized single source of truth to check which forks have been approved by the DAO.

37 (we voted FOR): Uniswap Deployments Accountability Committee

  • This is a step towards a meta-governance/committee structure where some of the DAO’s cumbersome tasks are offloaded to trusted parties voted in by the DAO.

36 (we voted FOR): Uniswap v3 Gnosis

  • Due to the Nomad bridge exploit on August 1, 2022, this deployment never materialized even though it was approved by the DAO previously. This reinstatement was a needed follow up to an action that should have materialized months ago.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

We are delegates for other protocols including Aave, Compound, Arbitrum, and OUSD.

Top Issues

Cross chain deployments
Cross chain deployments
We are proponents of expanding Uniswap to as many active chains as possible, allowing the protocol of capture market share early on in numerous ecosystems.
Fee switch
Fee switch
To accrue more monetary value for token holders, delegates, and the treasury, we believe enactment of the fee switch will further strengthen Uniswap.
Mechanism design
Mechanism design
To prevent stagnation in governance processes, our group is involved in researching novel ways to better operate the Uniswap DAO.
