Delegate Statement

We support long-term, sustainable, and value-adding Uniswap growth policies.

We will strive to promote Uniswap's multi-chain expansion, decentralization, and longevity.

What do you want to see happen in Uniswap Governance over the next year?

  1. Purpose-driven fee switch - Uniswap's fee switch has been widely debated within the forum for some time now and many mechanisms have been suggested, of which all face different trade-offs. We'd like to see the DAO begin experimenting with the fee switch where the proceeds are used to ensure the protocol's longevity and growth.

  2. A self-sustaining Uniswap DAO - Leaning on the point above, we'd like to see discussions around a financing model that is more sustainable than continuously selling UNI from the protocol's treasury despite its size.

  3. Continued multi-chain expansion - With the evergrowing number of chains within the DeFi ecosystem we believe it's important for Uniswap to continue expanding and servicing users across multiple chains promptly.

Reasons for wanting to be a delegate:

We believe that a decentralized world needs robust and progressive governance systems. We aim to support Uniswap along its journey towards such a state through objective, long-term value-add decision-making.

Ultimately for us, it's about having a tangible positive influence on the advancement of the decentralized ecosystem. As a daily active user and Uniswap being one of the largest DeFi protocols, we believe as a delegate we can achieve our goal and offer a unique perspective from the trading side of things.

Skills and areas of expertise:

Wintermute is a leading crypto-native algorithmic trading firm, specializing in creating efficient markets across centralized and decentralized exchanges. Wintermute was founded in July 2017 by three Optiver veterans. Evgeny Gaevoy, founder and CEO, was previously head of ETFs (screen and OTC) at Optiver Europe, one of the largest ETF market-making desks. Since our inception, we have traded over $3T and expanded our presence across 80+ (de)centralized exchanges and various (non)EVM chains, continuously supporting and providing liquidity throughout the ecosystem for our partners and their communities.

Aside from specializing in trading, Wintermute's Ventures and Governance arms provide access to our research, treasury maintenance, bespoke cross-chain liquidity management, on-chain proposal payloads, and much more.

Our views are on 3 past Uniswap Governance Proposals:

  1. Uniswap Deployments Accountability Committee - We are a major supporter of specialized groups taking over certain core functionalities of the protocol to improve efficiency. This AC will play a vital role in Uniswap's growth.

  2. Create v3deployments.uniswap.eth subdomain and populate its text fields - With the expiring of Uniswap V3's BSL, it's critical to protect users from fake and potentially malicious unofficial V3 deployments. The proposal provides a robust and clear method for establishing new multi-chain V3 deployments that can be verified by users.

  3. Deploy Uniswap V3 on Avalanche - We are supportive of V3's continued expansion to new chains and support its deployment on Avalanche.
